Funding
There are a number of different payments that can help you with paying for your education fees and living expenses throughout your course. You will be required to complete an online assessment to determine how much funding you are entitled to depending on your current situation.
If you are in full time education you should be eligible for support from the Student Award Agency Scotland (SAAS) who will pay your programme fees directly to the institution. NOTE: if you do not apply for SAAS you may be held responsible for paying your tuition fees. The telephone number to contact SAAS is 0300 555 0505 or you can make an award application online. There is lots of helpful information and any necessary forms can be found on the SAAS website here: http://www.saas.gov.uk/. Information on funding from SAAS: http://www.saas.gov.uk/full_time/ug/young/funding_available.htm You may be entitled to help with your fees depending on your household income and any benefits claimed. Evidence of this e.g. Universal Credit note will need to be provided to the finance department. Individual Learning Accounts (ILA) can be awarded to contribute up to £200 of your course fee. This is assessed based on your current situation and eligibility. My World of Work provides lots of helpful and relevant information about an ILA. An application form can be downloaded from the website here: https://www.myworldofwork.co.uk/learn-and-train/sds-individual-learning-accounts-ila |
